Bob Lynn was born in Scotland in 1940 and educated at Edinburgh College of Art. Having lived in Poland and London, he moved to Wicklow where he still lives and works. While chairman of Éigse Carlow Visual Committee he made a significant contribution to the development of arts in the South East region. He has exhibited in John Moore’s exhibition, Liverpool; Royal Institute of Watercolours, London; Upper Street Gallery, London; Waterman Fine Art, London; Carlow Éigse; Tom Caldwell Galleries, Dublin and Belfast; Oireachtas, Dublin; Royal Hibernian Academy Summer Exhibitions and Banquet Exhibition; Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh; Hillsboro Fine art Gallery, Dublin and Glasgow Print Studio. He has work in public collections such as AIB, Dublin; Jefferson Smurfit Group plc, Arthur Cox & Co., OPW, Dublin; N.U.I -U.C.D; University of Limerick and City Bank, London.
Lynn was an Invited Artist in a number of Éigse Carlow shows between 1989 and 2002 and also took part in Éigse’s thirty-year retrospective at VISUAL Carlow in 2010.
